WSCC was formed in 1965 representing Corvette owners in the seven Western States. The organization was formed to assist in the organization of Corvette clubs, improve communications with General Motors Corporation, improve the general image of the Corvette owners towards the General public, and develop guidelines for competitive events and to improve communications between member clubs. The Council currently has thirty-three member clubs representing over 650 plus member families. The majorities of events are held in the Northern California area and include car shows, rallies, social events and competitive events such as autocross. Out annual awards banquet is held early in the year to reward the competitors for excellence in their event categories. WSCC provides a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy for members to cover events, meetings, and moving events i.e., caravans, autocrosses, car shows and rallies. A $5,000,000 policy is available for an additional premium.

The WSCC Convention is the largest and most prestigious event of the WSCC Calendar year. Our WSCC Convention will be held in the small farming town of Yerington Nevada. The town of Yerington Nevada had generously offered to host our convention and have the Corvette as their marquee attraction for their 4th of July weekend celebration. The convention event calendar includes many activities to attract a wide range of interest for the Corvettes Club members. These included, a parade and car show featuring the Corvettes on the main street of Yerington, a golf tournament at the Mason Valley Country Club Golf Course, Casino night at Casino West, Drag Racing at the Yerington Municipal Airport and many other events for the entertainment of the participants and their families. This convention attracted Corvette owners and corvette car clubs from California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada.

The official WSCC publication, the Redline, carries information on upcoming events like our annual convention and activities of member clubs. Our wet site, www.wscc.ws, also carries event information. This quarterly publication has a circulation of 750 copies to member families and sponsors. WSCC has a Hot Line, 1-800-409-WSCC, to provide event and membership information to interested parties.
